Footy Day

On Friday the 12th of September Western Port held a football day. Students were allowed to dress up in their footy Guernseys for only a gold coin donation. 8B once again got into the spirit with half the class showing off their colours. Others came in free dress and some decided not to participate. There was a special footy lunch available at the canteen. A hot dog with a 600ml drink for a cheap cheap price of only $4.00!!!. There were activities that were setup in the gym that everyone enjoyed. Overall, it was a fun Friday!!!

Music Camp

The Western Port music participants went on a camp to Gundiwindi lodge on Monday the 8th to Wednesday the 10th of September. One of the main attractions was the giant swing standing at 18 meters high. Tom says "it was pretty scary going up, but it's a lot of fun coming back down." They practised their instruments in different rooms depending on groups. The Taiko group started up stairs and ended outside for some loud practicing. On the return trip, the groups visited Somerville Primary school where they performed all their musical talent. Alia said " I would go back again when I get the chance to and Mr Bridge can't tell jokes". In the end everyone enjoyed themselves.
